Why would ESPN let this story/idea die? Even Tiger fans at TigerForums.com won't let it die. How many current threads are dedicated to this right now? Too many. Enjoy the season already.

We'll just have to see what happens after the season. Til then, seriously, enjoy this beast of a team we have right now.

Stole my thunder!! You're right about that...but we shouldn't worry. Not hard at all to find someone to jump into a Ferrari with the keys already in the ignition...so we'll have no problem finding a replacement should he leave.:thumb:

We can't look into Les's heart or his mind to determine if he would take the UM job if it was offered to him. If the UM job was offered I don't think he would automatically jump and take it. If UM were to offer him the position I think Skip and the administration would "sweeten" his LSU contract.

I'm going to enjoy this season and worry about the possibility of Les leaving if and when UM fires Carr.

Get used to it. I agree that Michigan's current situation is fanning the flames but I guarantee that as long as CLM continues to win, his name will be in contention/consideration for EVERY opening on the big time college level and the NFL.

How do the Lions look this season? Honestly, despite the angst it creates, take it as a compliment to your coach and expect it to continue.

Given the fact that the "Miles to UM" speculation has been in effect for a grand total of 10 days, I'm not sure why anybody would find their coverage to date "excessive".

Look, if Leslie leaves...well, it's his loss when he's averaging 1 Big Ten title every 5 years or so while freezing his ass off.

No doubt, after 2 National Titles and 2 SEC titles in 5 years, that LSU will get a great replacement if Miles should leave. No worries, mate, as Croc. Dundee would say...

People are missing the point of my post. It is about the power of ESPN to basically keep alive speculation. Jimmy Sexton was on local Memphis radio talking about it. I am not posting because I am worried about him leaving. I was just venting because I have never seen something like this so early in a season. Let's face it, we can ignore it on the boards, but no one else is. Everyone must admit it does suck to have what appears to be one of the best staffs LSU has ever seen, coaching what may be the most dominant and complete team ever assembled, and have to have this black cloud circling around whenever we try to read or watch something about our Tigers!

I don't know so please school me but wasn't there speculation about Saban before he left?

I get what you're saying believe me. The rumor of PC going to the NFL has been going around for several years now. Everytime an NFL position opened over the last 3 years, the rumors and stories get circulated and fans get frustrated because they want to hear the coach deny ALL rumors but that's not very realistic. As long as Miles is WINNING, his name will be out there so you better prepare yourself.
