Why worry about what if. We are in the NCAA Tournament. Be happy.

what if people realized OVD's posts are intended to get people riled up and learned not to respond to them?

Miles said in the LSU alumni magazine he thinks this is his last stop. He said he plans on winning SEC championships and national championships. He said he is looking at staying for 15 years. I don't think he will bolt for Mich. They will promote from within.

I don't think Miles is going to Michigan and it has nothing to do with the large buyout. There are ways to get around that. Michigan could easily afford to pay Miles for the buyout either by the university or some boosters, don't know how exactly, but money would be no problem for Michigan.

Michigan likes to promote from within. They will most likely promote a coordinator when Carr retires. In addition supposedly Carr and Miles didn't exactly see eye to eye when they were assistants at Michigan. Don't know how true that is though.

actually it was reported by someone, I forget who, that said that the UM admin would never hire Les Miles because of some personal deal between him and the staff. I forgot the details but it was reported matter of factly as if it was widely known there.

not sure if theres any truth to it or not.

You really want your nightmare? Try this one

Miami cans Saban after 3 seasons. He sits out a year. Alabama is tired of Shula's 8-3/6-5 records and fires him after 2008. Saban takes the Alabama job...

Oh, Buddy...you HAD to go there? :hihi: Boy I hope he never coaches in the SEC unless, of course, it's UK or Vandy.

Here I am as an LSU fan and a Dolphins fan, enjoying the off-season, getting some downtime from conjecture and you're going to SAY THIS! ARE YOU CRAZY!? STOP IT RIGHT NOW! :thumb:

Damn, I don't even like the thought of that. Saban at Bama would probably mean that Miles doesn't DROP FITTY ON THOSE DOPES each year. The last thing I want to ponder is single digit victories over the Bammers year in and year out! :hihi:

OH YEA...what Tirk said. How in the blue hell does anyone that's been on this board longer than 3 hours fall for OVD's pot stirrin'? I must admit, I'm almost starting to enjoy it. ALMOST!

This is paragraph one of chapter one in Coachspeak 101. All coaches must repeat this mantra wherever they go. Name me one coach in recorded history who ever came to a school and said "I hate it here, this is only a stepping stone for me, my family is unhappy with this place, I'm gone as soon as my alma mater calls, and also I'm interested in the NFL."

Miles' buyou is reportedly $500,000 unless he leaves for Michigan whereupon it becomes $1,500,000. The fact that his buyout triples if he leaves for Michigan tells me that Miles informed Skip that he would only leave for another school if his alma mater offered him the head coach job. That means if Michigan offers, Miles will accept it . . . and Stanley Bertman will hose him for a million-five. It's called a poison pill. They both know that he'll go home to Michigan if given a chance and $1.5 million is how much it is worth to him.
