Miles said in the LSU alumni magazine he thinks this is his last stop. He said he plans on winning SEC championships and national championships. He said he is looking at staying for 15 years. I don't think he will bolt for Mich. They will promote from within.
I don't think Miles is going to Michigan and it has nothing to do with the large buyout. There are ways to get around that. Michigan could easily afford to pay Miles for the buyout either by the university or some boosters, don't know how exactly, but money would be no problem for Michigan. Michigan likes to promote from within. They will most likely promote a coordinator when Carr retires. In addition supposedly Carr and Miles didn't exactly see eye to eye when they were assistants at Michigan. Don't know how true that is though.
actually it was reported by someone, I forget who, that said that the UM admin would never hire Les Miles because of some personal deal between him and the staff. I forgot the details but it was reported matter of factly as if it was widely known there. not sure if theres any truth to it or not.
