Anyone know the Michigan\LSU tail numbers, or planes of boosters? It is great fun to be misdirected checking the flights of planes.

As usual, Red's post is dead on. He loves Mich. and the pull will be strong, if he's offered. But he knows LSU is rolling, and he could become a legend here, if he keeps it going, something the Nickator threw away. He knows this, he's no dummy (contrary to TerryP and the other Bama fans)

If he goes, we'll be all right. LSU is a great job, and should attract a top flight canidate.

Let's enjoy the season, I'm fixing to head to Tiger Stadium and enjoy the moment.[IMG]

    Re: Miles to Michigan

The 2003 team was the best LSU has fielded; IMO.

Miles is 54. He could spend 10 years at LSU, win like a fool, leave like a god, retire with money like no other, and be set for TV, endorsements, etc. All the while, Miles could live in Ann Arbor for the rest of his life, maybe even becoming active at his alma mater.

Or, he could go to Michigan with hopes he turns around a program and start from scratch. Were he to fail, "home" would be an awfully tough place to stay. Sentimental behavior and business (after all, that's what coaching is to someone in the profession) are two things that don't mix with perfect results.

It looks like the Irish are trying to do their part to keep Miles at LSU.

No need to thank me. We just do what we can to help out.

The only question is who long will Charlie Weiss keep his job?
This thread should be changed because I don't believe Lloyd Car is going anywhere and Charlie Weiss may be.

Since some of you are sensitive about a NS thread. How will you feel about LM when he

    leaves for Michigan next year?

Saban leaves us for a NFL job, then Miles leaves for a storied program.

I think LM leaves because we are loaded with senior starters. He knows the next couple of years will be down by recent standards (we will win 8-9 games the next couple of years). Many programs would love to have rebuilding years like that but not at LSU. If he would go 8-4 next year their would be some unhappy boosters and he knows it.

I hope LM's stays if nothing else because he has attracted some top assistant coaches in Crowton and Pelini.
