I keep finding more and more stuff tonight. This...this is just too ridiculous to be true: LSU has indicated interest in Houston...and his first impulse is to *turn it down*.

I'm really starting to think the Scott Boras and Don King comparisions are pretty apt when it comes to Jimmy Sexton.

What, are we gonna have word of Phat Phil going to BR for an interview tomorrow? Parcells returning to college ball?
    I mean, WTF, people?

list will be endless. try not to overreact to these nutt-jobs when mentioned as candidates. the ones such as this are spun out of control by the host school itself and will continue to be, such as Louisville. they already have petrino signed due to fear, of course.

LSU is the leech, Arkansas is the host. Most want Nutt-bag out of there which gives this story life that doesn't actually exist. We don't really want him.

Stick to the more credible names and you'll be ok. Bertman will make a better decision than this.

This may be a strange comparison, but Nutt sort of reminds me of former LSU basketball coach Dale Brown. He is an enthusiastic coach and seems like a decent guy. He seems to be a pretty good motivator. Perhaps it is true that given LSU's talent, he could do better than he has done at Ark. But I don't think he is an Xs and Os guy (like Daddy Dale wasn't) and I think he would be a huge stepdown from Saban. I would rather a younger, more innovative offensive-minded coach, like Petrino or Rodriguez.

Mike Scarbourough just posted that he has an Arkansas source who swears Nutt has been offered the job and could give an answer tom. He says he talked to two Ark. beat writers and they confirmed the source was legitimate. He says he personally cannot believe it, but the source firmly contends Houston Nutt has been offered the job. He reports the source told him it is the kind of deal where "we're offering only if you're accepting"...apparently to keep the deal under wraps.

The same source was the guy who broke the story about Nebraska courting Nutt last year.
