USC coach Pete Carroll says he's “not going anywhere” and likes where he is, meaning he won't be a candidate for the San Diego Chargers head coaching job, the Los Angeles Daily News reported Friday.
The Chargers and Carroll did communicate about the opening to replace Marty Schottenheimer, the newspaper reported, but the Trojans coach never said he was interested.
"I just got tired of answering questions about the NFL, because there's always a follow-up question from (the media), no matter what I say, so I decided I wouldn't say anything," Carroll said, the Daily News reported. "I wasn't looking at it. I like where I'm at. I'm not going anywhere."
