    Seems like a good time for an open date. coming off a "big win" isn't that when the catch phrase folks have you prime for a loss. A few injuries that need to go away. Tough road schedule. My hope is that if the team does come out flat, the fans who haven't been to tiger stadium in 3 weeks can get them into the game early. As far being prepared no problem. Saban will have them there, its just if their hearts and minds show up.

    Open dates are vital. The coaches want them and need them, especially if the timing is good. We've got people out hurt who need an extra week. Nick has mentioned that he was waiting for this two-week period to make some possible lineup changes or implement new offensive schemes.

    Coming up we have three home games in a row to weak SEC teams and another team new to Division I. I think we can give up some "momentum" for the benfits of the open date.
