Windows 10 free upgrade

    I still use Firefox and IE, I can't stand chrome.

    I liked Firefox until about 2 years ago when I started getting popups every time I clicked on any link. Had to uninstall it. I never liked IE. I do like that Chrome syncs across all my devices. For example I could stop writing this post and then finish it on my phone, another computer or a tablet

    It just seems like it uses every ghz my processor has.

    I upgraded a laptop that is at least 4 years old and the hardware handle everything jut fine. I also use Chrome exclusively and have had zero issues. In fact, it feels quicker than when I was running Windows 7. I did disable Cortana because I don't see it being useful on my laptop. I also adjusted some of the privacy settings and re-linked some file associations. I just imported my bookmarks to Edge and plan to give it a good run for a week or so to see how it handle things.

    I also read that there are some security issues with W10 too though. "Lifting" passwords, etc. Don't be in a rush to be the guinea pig.

    Yeah it basically lets your wifi password be see by your FB friends.

    Yeah that's what I read. I'm not a facebooker so guess I wouldn't be affected.

    No, they can't see your password, they get an encrypted version of it.
