I just watched a few videos of Murphy and he seems to be very good in the open field.

I had heard him compared to McKnight, but I don't think he is as nearly as explosive. But, he looks very good.

Yup! I also didn't list him because he will be gone after this coming season.

I just hope he gets his mind right. I know that he was beating himself up last year over his playing shape. :(

This happens every year where we forget about how great our current Tigers are until after this little honeymoon period is over with our new/potential Tigers.

As previously mentioned, Murphy has some similarities to McKnight. We also have Trindon Holliday and no one else in the nation has that kind of player. I looked at the '07 and '06 recruit's videos and Murphy really does show some burst and elusiveness while Keiland is Adrian Peterson just an inch or two shorter(same weight, same speed, same power) meaning a better running style. Charles Scott is the big bruiser a la Michael Bush. We will be fine, McKnight would have just been fun to have and who knows, maybe we get Devine next year and I'm sure we will get some 4 or 5 star RB next year.

I agree we easily forget about somebody as valuable as Holiday and the potential of a Murphy, but make no bones about it Terrance Toliver was a more important get for this team. Don't get me wrong, I salivated over the potential of McKnight in this already loaded offense, but be careful what you wish for as there is only 1 football on the field at any one time. I think we'll be just fine on offense. Toliver has the potential of being a Dwayne Bowe type. Exactly what we needed. With Toliver and LaFell and their heights, I think the fade to the corner of the endzone will be a favorite red zone play in this vaunted offense.

Let's just hope that either 1) his eyesight is better than Bowe's or 2) we're able to see (no pun intended) his eyesight is bad and get him fixed! :thumb:

Yeah it is too bad we didn't get Bowe's eyesight fixed sooner. But things turned out great in the end and he's about to get paid. I am happy for the young man.
