Sounds like a completely different tune than before the series. THe Jazz have that effect. I never thought it was going to be a sweep, it ended where I thought it would. Alston would have helped.

i'll be pulling for you... I just don't see it happening.

The Jazz earned game 1. They earned game 4. They earned tonight. The Rockets would have won Game 2 with Alston, though. No red-blooded individual can claim otherwise. ****, without him, it would have been a tie game if not for a bogus foul call on Scola.

Here are my 2 cents of what I saw.

Kirilenko is a good defender, but he brings nothing on offense. at all. He just stands around and watches everyone else play and then once a shot goes up, he cuts to try to get a rebound.

Boozer is a lazy defender. There is no reason Scola should be getting a consistent 16 and 10 on him. none. He will need to be much better against Gasol. Is he hurt? b/c last year, he was much, much better than he is playing now. (and was playing to end the season).

The benches for the two teams are damn near equal. Turiaf and Millsaps are the same player imo, and down the line.

I just think the Lakers and Rockets are similar, but Kobe is better than T-Mac and Gasol is much better than Scola and Fisher is a better shooter than Alston, so it will be an uphill battle.

Could say the same thing about the call when AK was just pulling his arm out of McGrady's grasp at the end of game 3.

He was close to the being the points leader in a game or two but we have not asked him to score as much this year with the new additions. He also killed it on offensive boards and put backs all series.

He and others have been nicked up throughout the season and are close to being healthy. Boozer had the worse of it, reoccuring ankle problems.

The benches for the two teams are damn near equal. Turiaf and Millsaps are the same player imo, and down the line. Bench potential is the same but the consistency of the bench favors the Jazz. We have 7 or so guys averaging double figuers. The games the Rockets lost, McGrady and sometimes Scola were getting a majority of the points.

I saw the Jazz playing aggressive and not allowing easy baskets. Frustrating them was what we needed to do and they accomplished that IMO. Everyone played there role and any given night you will see someone different stepping up. If we carry that over to the Lakers and take a game at their place, it will go to game 7 and if the Jazz sweep at home I like their chances as well.

I wont disagree the kid made some POOORRRR choices. That I agree and he as man needs to atone for them. But I think we some times lose a bit of focus that these really are kids, that compared to most of us have had adults telling them how great they are.
I also was an idiot in college. Just didnt have cnn reporting on it. Frankly the amount of booze I drank (among other things) would have probably gotten me kicked out of the country let alone a national champion football team.

No offense intended...I'm trying really hard to understand this point of view. However, it's a little difficult when we're talking about a 21 year old father that has been given a golden opportunity to become a gazillionaire...and we consider HIM a kid...while across the globe, 18 and 19 year old MEN AND WOMEN are fighting and dying in a war and defending our nation...the very nation that provided this "kid" all of the opportunities that he has so needlessly pissed away...pun intended.Spare me the "kid" crap, please.

Well, I saw the news on yahoo yesterday, right before my second interview at a job I really want. Talk about being distracted. I kept wanting to say, "DAYUM!" randomly, and I blame RP for that.

Seriously, it saddens me that it came to this. But I trust Miles, and I am really, really, really, really, really, really, really glad this didn't happen in October or November of this year.
