He is a good change of pace for 2-4 touches a game on offense plus kick returns.

I gotta admit that Holliday made one great catch last night fielding that punt deep in LSU territory while back pedaling to make the catch. I was holding my breath on that one.

I bet he's improved his fielding this year.:thumb:.

I wish they would try to use Trindon like Sammy Martin. Straight up the middle. Sammy would disappear in the line of scrimmage, hitting a tiny hole, then pop out the other side and run 30 yards.

I wonder if we just sent him on a streak route, would he be able to just blow by the defenders...

10 sec 100m (109 yds), about 10.9 yds a sec, with pads lets just say he can make it 20 yards down field in 2.5 sec, avg time qb has in the pocket 3 or 4 sec?, then time the ball is in the air is 2 or 3 sec, so he might have 5 or 6 sec to get down field, I'm sure he should be able to get behind someone.

Just a thought, and my times are crudely calculated, so don't flame me lol I'm just bored and getting ready for the next game lol

His worth is pretty obvious when you look at our average field position after kick-offs. Having him back there caused them to pooch kick it on kick-offs giving us great starting field position. Without him back there, I think we get 10 yard less in field position for each of the kick-off returns just because they pooched it.

I've been wondering this as well. They have him listed as a WR...why not actually let him play like one? Heck Bennie Brazelle caught up a couple deep bombs in some important games. It's worth a try to at least have him run deep even as a decoy.

I'm sure he will at least draw the corner as well as help from the safety which would leave the middle and the other half of the field to be a little more open for tolliver, lafell, etc...

Exactly, and having him run deep or hitch routes a couple plays would draw the safety to him. And whenever he doesn't draw the safety...throw to him because no corner can cover that speed unless there's a 15 yard cushion. And if that's the case, just throw it to him right away and let him make a move and gain yards.

The best offensive playcall of the game involved Trindon.

He came into the game on a 1st and 5, and it was a quick play-action toss to Toliver for a TD. 9 guys on the defense keyed completely in on #8, and TT had to break 1 tackle for a 45 yard TD.

I'd like to see more of this. If it works, great, but if it doesn't, then it would be the same as if we did a PA-pass with Scott/Williams in the backfield.

I'm completely baffled as to why the "streak route" has never been tried even in scrimmages:confused:. Seems WORTH a try. There can arise a few game situations where this may very well work.
