Ahh, I can tell you that, even USC is saying they're glad they didn't have to play us. I say "Even" not because they are all that but because despite their feelings towards us they recognize.

cause they felt sorry for LSU! They knew the Rose Bowl screwed LSU and Skip Bertman In the AZZ not to mention all the poor LSU fans who ran and bought rose bowl tickets, travel arrangments. and those dumb roses on the side of Tiger helmets. ( I will never watch the rose bowl again) unless tigers are in it. lol

You're right, any time you play a lower ranked team in a bowl game, its lose-lose situation. If you win? Good job, you were supposed to. But if you lose, then you get ridiculed. However, ND isn't just any lower ranked team, beating them on a national stage gives LSU a lot of respect and ND less and less.

Exactly! And I hope that LSU doesn't play down to the level of the opposing team. They should be reminded of the Ole Miss game this year time and time again by Miles. If the opposing team is weaker, then fine, concentrate on steam rolling them like against several of the teams during the season. They know they are capable of that with their offense this year. They should showcase their stuff in the BCS Bowl. Give the opponent no mercy!

actually, the ohio state team only lost last year to #1 texas and #3 penn state. texas was at home and i think penn state was at happy valley but still 1 and 3 is pretty impressive. the case could be made is all i am saying.

Wait... they picked USC ro 'romp' UCLA, but it went the other way - not a romping, but an upset. I'd rather them be their normal selves on this one.

Yeah, I'd rather them not give us all the respect in the world. Like I said, it should be a much closer game than many expect. Talent-wise, we have them beat, but there's something about everyone saying you're going to lose that makes you want to win so much more.

The funniest exchange I saw was between Holtz and May.

Holtz, "It'll be tough for ND, but I think it'll be a good game."

May, "Yeah, for about a QUARTER."

Holtz, "You'll come back and apologize to me later."

    May, "Sure I will..."

You can BET your BOTTOM DOLLAR that Coach Charles "Big Cookie" Wies will use this negativism to motivate his team.

LSU will face a ND team that will have a point to prove . . . that they belong in the Sugar Bowl.

I'm very glad to see LSU get respect, but, these props to LSU is a "two edged saber", because, while LSU gets props, ND gets DISSED !

That's bad Karma . . . it's also a good way to get the ND players to play over-achieving football. LSU doesn't need that.
