Had to post it up. There were some people here claiming that there wasn't enough time to run the play.

 

How's that Rose Bowl working out for ya?

 

Not well... the difference being we knew early on we weren't an offensive juggernaut, each game would rest with the defense, so we're good with whatever the "Gods" deal us. Apparently, it takes some other teams longer to figure that out.

some said its much more a gamble to get the snap off with 1 second on the clock on a kick. its dependent on the refs.

getting a qb under center with a quick snap is much more within your control.

if you had a qb coached to do so, that is.

 

Were there different clock rules in 2001?

 

Better question. Were those SEC officials? Clearly they were out of position.
