Is he still ours to lose?

islstl, can you explain to me why scout has Heastie as the #1 WR

    http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=3429729

and Rivals has him.. at #26? His film looks pretty good.. but I don't think he's in the same league as RR.

[not to derail a thread or anything..]

Not sure why Scout is so high on him. No way he should project ahead of Randle. It will be interesting to see if he makes a dramatic climb on rivals.

    Re: Andre DeBose

I was just wondering.. he was top-5 in rivals over the summer [I was told] and they dropped him as the season progressed. Just curious.

Is DeBose still ours to lose or is it a toss-up between UF/LSU?

From all appearances, ours to lose.

He's made it to LSU on 3 different occasions already and is planning another trip I believe in January.

    Per Rivals:

Take it with a grain of salt, as a lot of these quotes are what fans want to here. Regardless, it should mean LSU has a pretty good chance of landing him.

    Re: Andre DeBose

Conspiracy theory alert: Miles and staff have asked RR to keep quiet and delay his commitment so that they could make ground with DeBose and keep Bell and Calhoun in the fold.

Not likely, but it .... could .... happen...

For one, I doubt RR has committed - or even made up his mind. Secondly, that is Meyer type crap. I don't think Miles would do that.

Agree..With RR people should just wait untill Signing Day and not listen to any rumors.

I didn't say I believed it. Just thought it was an interesting proposition.

I am sure the pannickers will completely crater if we lose RR. Or a few others.

But we are getting our fair share of great players this year.

Might miss on a few we really wanted but thats life.

I cant speak for everyone but i really like the class as it stands right now and if we can finish with a few more good players that fine by me.

Be happy with the boys that commit to the purple and gold and the rest are tigerbait.

Recruiting is a dirty business and you can bet Bama boosters are out there flashing some cash.

Expect them on probation again soon.
