BUT........if the employment guidelines, no matter how unfair or asinine you consider them to be state you can't wear green on fridays and you do it anyway, then you can only blame yourself when they let you go.

Unfortunately, if it is true, it WILL hurt his stock

and judging by this being his 3rd strike now, he probably won't learn his lesson

    Re: Wroten test's positive

Maybe we are jumping the gun here. Every report I have read about his interviews and the scouts' perception of the situation were that he was trying to do the right thing, and being very honest about the situation.

The drug tests that the NFL does are not the same as the random piss tests we all get at work. These things are so extensive that they know if you drank coffee with your breakfast last week.

It could be that he took a pain pill before his workout. And even if it was perscribed, it would still show and would bring up a red flag, and that could be the case. We do not know, and may never know.

I understand why these assumptions are easily made. It is the logical answer due to his incident.

But if teams feel he is making an effort, it will not hurt him to bad.

Like Nolimit said, a little weed isn't going to keep him from stopping the run or sacking a QB. And as long as they see the effort like all of the reports say, they will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I would much rather have a dopehead that keeps his mouth shut and does his job than a punk ass showboat that thinks he's better than the team like TO. Yet he is still getting paid the big bucks.

These teams tolerate as much as the league will allow the to, if it means they have a better chance at winning on Sunday's.

Remember Rickey Williams wasn't suspended by his team, he was suspended by the league. If it were up to the team they would provide the weed for him if they thought it would make him do a better job.

SO I guess I said all of that, to say no it probably won't hurt him a whole lot next weekend, whether it's right or wrong.

Only two players tested positive. If pain pills or any other scenario set it off, it would be a whole lot higher.

It will if the league suspends him or kicks him out for repeated failures on the drug tests.

Unfortunately, I don't believe this was an error in the test or it is the result of some other meds. CParso is right, with it only happening to 2 people, it is pretty obvious that they were smoking the weed.

What a freakin' moron Wroten must be. You know you are going to have drug tests that will effect your status. Why can't you hold off for a couple of months to insure you will pass?

Teams will look at Wroten's mental judgement and decision making and it will hurt him severely. If he can't make a very obvious decision like this and can't have some discipline, what sort of decisions will he make in life that will effect his team.

Really stupid Claude. Even though you have apologized and admitted making mistakes, which is very classy and standup of you, it doesn't cover up the stupidity of the decision and it does give insite into what sort of decisions you could make in the future. You reap what you sow and somebody has been sowing some good stuff.

What you would rather have is nice and all but that has no bearing on what the rules of the NFL are. Dopeheads, as you out it are not allowed but showboats are. Dats the way it goes no matter who thinks it is right or wrong.

I think I'm going to start replying to every post on the board by pointing out that it's an opinion. That would be fun, and also informative for everyone.

    Re: Wroten test's positive

Knick yourself out big boy. Theres one small problem with that though. Yes alot posts are full of personal opinion but when stating who the best qb is or if smoke will drop 3 this weekend etc are one thing as far as opinion goes. When someone makes a statement about a process like drug screening like yours for example it's different. By saying "If pain pills or any other scenario set it off, it would be a whole lot higher." you are going past mere opinion and stepping into an area you factually really know nothing about. Thats entirely different that saying flynn is better than jr or you think the tigers will drop 2 of 3 becasue you have seen flynn and jr play as well as the baseballers so you have something to base your opinion off of. On the other hand you know nothing about the nfl test in regards to what players may take/ingest before a combine and such. You have no clue what the masses ingest/take at the combines, be it pain pills or anyother substance. It's a totally uneducated, pull it out of the ass guess... Saying who the best qb is is more than that...... So yes there is a difference between the 2 and no saying every post is pure conjecture would not be valid like you hope it would be.

Making something up based on zero facts is not informative to anyone, it's really just BS.
