The wr looked alot better today. On that one play where Davis caught the ball one handed Doucet lit up the Miss St DB it looked like that guy could have had whip lash.

Bowe looked like Bowe, he and Russell sure have their timing down. We also got a chance to see Carters speed the dude can fly. Heck even old Bennie Brazell had a catch.

Things just looked alot more in sync and hopefully we will carry this over for the rest of the season and take care of our business.

The entire offense looked great except for all of the fumbles against a very poor team. However it will be a big step up next week in a hostile environment. The Tigers need to show that they can get it done against the real dogs and old whats his name, you know the guy with the non stop motor. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

It was a good performance by the receiving corps with only 2 dropped passes that I can remember. Everyone that stayed into the 4th quarter got to see the X Man show off his wheels. Damn that guy is fast.

We finally got a climpse of our future dynamic duo. TD catches by both Doucet and Carter.

It looks like Doucet will develope into a possession-type receiver while the "X-Man" will be our deep threat (not that Doucet couldn't take it the distance in his own right). I don't know if it's just because Doucet has been on the field more, or if he's just running good routes and getting open, but it appears that Early, at least up to this point, is getting more balls thrown his way.

And we can't forget about Bowe and Buster Davis. They continued to have yet another SOLID game. Over 90 yards for each of them. It's so awesome to think that of our skilled position players, Shyrone Carey is the only one that we'll lose after the season's over.

He will probably end up playing too many snaps. I bet LSU found out that the NCAA wouldn't allow Amp a 2nd RS so they decided to play him. He has played the entire 4th quarter in both the Arkansas State and Miss St. games, he just hasn't gotten a ball thrown his way.

Both of the dropped passes were by Bowe. One of them should have been ruled a catch and a fumble because Bowe had possession of the ball and was running with it when he was hit and stripped of the ball. If Bowe makes those catches JaMarcus is 11 for 12 with the incompletion being the ball he spiked to kill the clock at the end of the first half. It was almost a situation where both Randall and Russell were 100%.

Well I just think it's silly that there was no game plan to get Amp Hill a screen pass or anything just to get his confidence going in either of the 2 games he has been in.

Flynn hasn't had enough passing attempts as well in either game. We don't need Hester running that much in those 2 games, we need Flynn to get experience instead.

Hester won't see the light of day unless its a blowout in the next 3 years.

I guess Saban didn't want to run it up.

Saban could care less about designing a play to get a redshirt freshman one pass catch, Amp will get his shot when the time comes. Also don't believe for a second that Saban is playing Hester so much and isn't planning to use him. He will play mostly fullback but could figure significantly in the passing game in the future. Look for Flynn to play a lot against Troy State, but don't look for Saban to be throwing the ball down field in the 4th with a 40+ point lead against anyone no matter who is at QB. PS If Hester isn't the starting fullback at some point this year he will be next year, he is loaded with talent and very athletic for a FB with great hands and pretty good running ability.
