I'm still looking for a link to confirm this, but today in Switzerland Carter ran 19.63 in the 200M. Only one man in history has run faster, gold shoes Michael Johnson. Yeah I would say he made the right choice.

Video http://www.tsr.ch/tsr/index.html?sit...01&sid=6887911 The link is on the right hand side under "Retour"
Only if we stop talking about the former Tigers in the NFL, NBA etc. As far as the race goes, all I can say is "WOW". GEAUX TIGERS
Just makes me wonder.. Is there a certain age that track speedsters usually peak? Just how good can he get?!?
there is a "peak", and if he follows traditional athletes, he hasn't hit it yet, which is scary the typical "prime" or the traditional career is your 1st olympics, you are 21 or 22, then 25 or 26, and if you are good enough you stretch it from there, so he is pretty much running side by side with that pace
Michael Johnson broke the world record in the 200m at the age of 28. I think his 400m WR came at age 30. Xavier has a long time to chase those records. Carl Lewis won gold at the age of 36 & Linford Christy(sp) did it at 39. Track athletes can compete for a long time if they don't have a serious injury.
