He's had 9 completions in his career.... I don't blame him really. He is in his prime with track. What does he have if he gets hurt in football?
Too bad Shaver couldn't get the NC with the best sprinter that has ever come through LSU. Good luck to Xman. He never lived up to his promise as a WR but he is an amazing athlete that will represent LSU well in the Olympics and professionally. I guess a positive is that since we lost Clemons to grades and Carter to track, that will free up some schollies for this signing class.
I totally agree. He's been a disappointment (so far) on the football field (and I think he knows that), but not on the track... I wish him the best, despite the wasted football recruiting and scholarship... Thank God he did this a few of weeks before opening game... :sarcasm:
I can't blame him. He'll win a few world and Olympic titles before his track career is up. I think this is honestly the best decision he could make. So if he's going pro with track, is he done with LSU track as well? I would assume so...
If he goes pro, there will be no Olympic's. Right? Pro track guys make most of their money through endorsement deals, I think. Actually, I don't know jack about pro track. Who does? I'm just guessing here. Can't blame him though, I wouldn't pass up the kind of money they will throw at him. Good luck Carter.
One or two of his kick off returns are forever in my mind. Good Luck X Man! I'm not picking on him or anything, all rookies will make mistakes but for some reason I still see these in my mind!
I can't say that I was not hopeful he would be able to do well in football. I still believe that he could have done so. However, with this recent track success I have been wondering just how good he can actually be with it. Then i worried that a football injury could ruin his track (and football) career. I wish him the best of luck. It's too bad he will not be wearing a LSU uniform any more. Especially in track, he was a complete badass running in LSU's colors!
