I THOUGHT Y.A. TITTLE LOOKED REALLY GOOD AT THE SUPER BOWL COIN TOSS CEREMONY. DOES ANYONE KNOW HIM OR ANYONE RELATED TO HIM? DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIS HEALTH THESE DAYS - HE MUST BE IN HIS MID 80'S.

I think I lived on a street named after him in Tigertown. I was disappointed when they didn't say he played for LSU.

He lives out here in Palo Alto (Stanford town), in the land of big $$$. He still runs an insurance agency and pops up on TV every now and again when the old time 49ers are mentioned (i.e. the dedication of the new Kezar Stadium last year).

I still love the story in 75 years of LSU football by Peter Finney about how he was "kidnapped" from his dorm @ U of Texas...
    and brought to BR...
    to play for our Tigers...

Speaking of former Tiger greats where does Steve Van Buren live?

He's gotta be getting up there, too..

    As per Dandy Don:

Steve Van Buren (HB) 1941-43, All-SEC in 1943. Steve is 81 years old, lives in Bensalen near Philadelphia, PA, and has three daughters.

Boy, Earl Campbell looked like a ghost. I wonder what he's up to.
