nola.com says the Saints will play on back-to-back Thursday nights in November. They'll host the Falcons on Thankgiving night, then visit the Cowboys the following week.
Well, the second one won’t be so bad since it’s a week apart followed by a 10 day window before the next game.
IMO, Thursday night games are proof that everything the NFL says about caring about player safety is bullshit.
Vikings, Rams and Eagles in 4 weeks time, followed by the Falcons. If they get through that stretch 3-2, it will be a miracle. The good news is, they should be no worse than 4-2 going into that stretch.
Also, Saints are one of only 3 teams that will have a 3-game road stand this season. Good thing is, they are spread out with a Thursday, a Sunday, then a Monday nigh. That 5-game stretch from Minnesota to Atlanta on Thanksgiving is scary. All 3 division champs in 3 straight weeks, then a potential trap game with Cincinnati and finish with the Dirty Birds. That's brutal.
