It appears USC has already won Did anyone else notice that they just showed a graphic of the 5 teams that made it through the regular season undefeated?? USC is listed, despite the fact that they haven't reached halftime in their final game. I realize that they will probably win, but a ten point lead in the 2nd quarter is a bit early for ABC to say they finished undefeated. Talk about a lack of repect for UCLA (or perhaps a bias towards USC???)
The announcing in this game is the most blatant homerism I have ever witnessed for a nationally televised game. You could hear the disappointment in their voices when UCLA completed that long pass. It's really disgusting. I don't know if I can watch the 2nd half. :dis: :dis:
hmmmm....other things to do.... 1)Sit here and mash my nutz 2)sit here and look at your sig 3)rob a liquor store 4)smoke some crack 5)switch to the SEC championship game (if that Army/Navy game ever gets done)
Jackson/Fouts are only the most blatant example of how much the press loves USC. They don't even pretend to be objective. Bush broke one tackle on that play and outran an out of place, slow defense that has been horrible all year. He's NEVER seen a player like this???? And what can you say about Jackson, who sees with his own eyes the blown call that cost UCLA 7 and his first reaction is to defend the official. If you listen closely, you can hear him masturbating every time USC scores.
It's foul to see all the player haters, if you guys were to be honest with yourself you'd acknowledge how good USC is. Bush is one of the best RBs in the country, Leinart is one of the best QBs, their OC is one of the best, their defense is more than adequate. Quit hating on them just because the media loves them - yes Jackson and Fouts are fools along with the rest of the media out there, but the fact is the team itself is good. I just pray they have to play Auburn so the Tiger backfield can run roughshod over that defense. btw, that comment Fouts made..."I've never seen a player like this" - wtf was that? Even Jackson thought that was too stupid to comment on. I truly never have seen a comment so stupid.
I am sure you guys remember the comment by Fouts that said both LSU and OU were lucky they did not have to play USC. Jackson promptly agreed. Every USC game I have watched they have told the viewers that USC is #1 ad nauseum. With that said, USC has at least earned my respect this year. You are kidding yourself if you think Cal is not one of the best teams in the country. USC also beat Va Tech who is BCS bound. So that is 2 BCS teams along with a decent ASU team. It pains me to say this but they have earned their way to the orange bowl this year. The problem is that 2 other teams have as well, and USC has managed stay out of the controversy which pisses me off. I will always wonder what if if UCLA manages to keep it close with that terrible no fumble call. UCLA has been off 3 weeks, and if they go in half tied instead of 10 down it could be a whole different story. They should perform better in the second half.
Yep, and USC is good too Remeber, Cal should have beaten USC. They were clearly the better team the day they played.
What do you expect from one of the players responsible for getting SMU the "death penalty"? (wasn't that Craig James?? ...For some reason, I'm pretty sure it was). Well, USC is up 20-10 --should be 17-17 if not for the premature whistle on Bush's "fumble" (which was picked up by the Bruins and returned for a TD).
