I thought (yes dangerous, iffy at best), that it might be good to have a somewhere to place content from You Tube. Found stuff or regularly watched and followed content that might be informative, amusing, entertaining or just plain WTF. Wasn't sure where to put this, here or in Lagniappe. Since a lot of it will be topical/current events related I guessed here. I'll start it off by listing a Russell Brand bit. Yes freaking Russell Brand. If you had told me 2 years ago that Russell Brand would be a logical voice of reason in society, I would have thought you lost your mind. What's Terrorism? "It's whatever we say it is"
wow. bikes that powerful are terrifying because they have so much power they will wheelie and throw you to jupiter at basically any speed you would realistically be going. its like they have a kill yourself button. spin the throttle too much and loop yourself into meat crayon. normal people should never purchase such bikes.
Young folks and their crotch rockets...We had a stretch 4-5 years ago were 1-2 people a week were getting killed on those things. Went on for over a year and then suddenly stopped. Thinking people woke up and learned to drive better or Darwin's survival of the fittest played out. Highest common denominator was speed. Most were going over 100. We still get one or two a year now but thankfully, it's not 1-2 a week.
i can get lost in youtube for many hours. i just watched this pretty russian asian girl teach me about the coldest town on earth. they cant bury pipes in the permafrost so plumbing pipes and shit are above groung. the local market is an outdoor frozen food market. they have to put parked cars under heating blankets. at one point she buys a bowl of hot noodles and holds them out the bowl and they freeze with the spoon just stuck there to the suspended noodles. i saw another one where they went ice fishing and when they pulled the fish out, they fish didnt flop around any because they essentially froze rock solid in a matter of seconds and then they just were fish rocks clinking around on the ground. it was negative 58F
