I like it, it gives him more motivation and I do believe he pays mind to things such as this. I get the feeling that he is out to prove something each and every time he takes the field with his team.
Couple things: I'm glad to see Miles ahead of Saban (which I didn't expect) Also, Miles has got the third most first place votes, almost doubling Saban's total. This is how I ordered them: 1. Les Miles 2.Steve Spurrier 3.Urban Meyer 4.Mark Richt 5.Tommy Tuberville 6.Nick Saban 7.Phillip Fulmer 8.Houston Nutt 9.Bobby Petrino 10.Sylvester Croom 11.Bobby Johnson 12.Rich Brooks
Hehehe I put Bobby Johnson ahead of Phillip Fulmer! My list: 1. Les Miles 2. Tommy Tuberville 3. Mark Richt 4. Sylvester Croom 5. Steve Spurrier 6. Nick Saban 7. Urban Meyer 8. Bobby Petrino 9. Rich Brooks 10. Houston Nutt 11. Bobby Johnson 12. Phillip Fulmer
We're not that far off: 1.Les Miles 2.Tommy Tuberville 3.Bobby Johnson 4.Nick Saban 5.Sylvester Croom 6.Mark Richt 7.Steve Spurrier 8.Rich Brooks 9.Houston Nutt 10.Urban Meyer 11.Bobby Petrino 12.Phillip Fulmer
It's too subjective for absolute rankings, but this much is obvious: They fall out into three tiers and there are no bad coaches at all. Top Tier -- National Championships Miles 07, Meyer 06, Saban 03, Fulmer 98, Spurrier 96 Middle Tier -- Conference titles Richt 05/02, Tuberville 04, Petrino 06/04 (non SEC) Lower tier -- Working hard at it Nutt (2 WD titles), Croom, Johnson, Brooks
