So who thinks we're actually running Gary Crowton's offense?

I am so sure this is not Crowton's offense and he is being severely limited by Miles, that I'm confident if we removed Miles and promoted GC to head coach for the rest of the year we would see immediate improvement in offensive production.

I don't remember a drop of rain that day. What I do remember is our offense was particularly inept for the entirety of the contest.

In '07, I'll admit we limped into the twilight of that season--with injury after injury. We saw what a healthy '07 team could do in the BCSNCG.

I think it's unfortunate that some here want Miles gone so badly that they begrudge him the BCSNC. LSU fans are the most negative towards that team--worse than anyone in the media.

40 years from now, will that NC look so embarrassing? Probably not--no one will know about the Saban vs. Miles nonsense that reigns supreme these days.

I think the reason Crowton is more successful early at a job is because he has never been good at developing talent. He's good at installing a system, and an average playcaller. What he's not good at though is developing quarterbacks and receivers.

If you give him a meal that's already cooked and tell him to put it on a plate, he'll nail the presentation. But if you ask him to cut the vegetables and cook the salmon, he'll undercook the fish and give you chunky carrots.

My only problems with Miles comes from the fact it's his job to fix the issues that wrong this team, but for 2 seasons now and going on a 3rd... it's the same old problems, mainly discipline and execution. When do they get fixed and when does the responsibility fall on his head?
I respect both Saban and Miles for the NCs they brought to BR... Saban I wouldn't want back and Miles is welcome to stick to around... I'm just tried of hearing how young we are, and the glaring problems he vows to fix week after week... at some point the excuse bucket has to run dry.

Those of us who remember the same process happening to Charlie Mac also remember what happened next. We got a coach who was worse, followed by a coach who was good but wasn't loyal to LSU, followed by a coach who couldn't recruit, followed by a coach who couldn't pour piss out of a boot, followed by a coach who was too loayal to incompetent assistants. It took 20 years before we found the coach we thought we'd get when Cholly Mac was run off.

Those who scream for a new coach need to consider if anyone better than Miles is even available for the job. You replace a guy for losing, not for winning ugly.

It certainly looks like this is a big problem of his--it was a strength of Fisher's (though I often disliked his offense.)
