Could we have found something special in another DT. I'm not talking about Davenport, but #77 Josh Downs. I did not expect him to play more than Davenport or Hicks. This guy is impressive as a true freshmen. He's quick off the ball, and doesn't get pushed around much. I expected Hicks to play more and rotate with woods, and Davenport with Alexander. This guy has allowed Nevis, Davenport and Hicks to rarely be on the field. I would not doubt him starting next year at the 3 tech, and his play is pretty good.

    to be honest, i did.

the guy has a motor and it's that sort of attitude that our defense has been missing. maybe half of our defense plays hard every play right now.

just think if al woods put out that effort on every play... man.

After reading a few stories about him when he was recruited about him taking care of his invalid Mother after school for years and him sitting down and crying when he got the call from Miles that he had an LSU scholarship, I've been really rooting for him from day one. It seems that the indicated strength of character & desire to play for LSU is showing up in a big way. Geaux Josh!

    I did as well.

    1. Because he is a beast

    2. Davenport came to LSU still in rehab mode from a HS injury

    3. Hicks went down with an injury in the Spring which he is still struggling to come back from.

Hicks and Downs were expected to rotate before the Hicks injury.

All I knew was that his all-star game performance was exceptional.

Not sure what his injury is but he and Pep are out this weekend.

Brockers is moving to DT for the time being.

My assumption about Hicks looks to be true. Don't expect the staff to throw him in this late into the season when they can throw a redshirt on him. 2 years to play 3 guy.

So now we are short at DT?
    Great!
I thought Brockers would be seing time at DE. Isnt he to tall and slim to play DT?

You sure about Pep? I read Downs is doubtful, but Pep is "likely to go", FWIW...

Sounds like the "PT" stands for physical therapy, now.
