      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Life kinda bogging down the hunting and fishing stuff with the kids getting older and into so much with sports dance etc.  Also sold my old boat motor early in the summer.  Ordered a new motor which had a 6 month+ lead time so planned on continuing with the old one until the new one showed up.  Stuck the old one for sale for a price I didnt think anyone would pay and in a week someone showed with cash so had to let er go.  Really hated to see her go lotta hours spent riding in front of her...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Didnt get to fish near as much as usual mainly bc of the weather but got a few trips in.  The days did get to go were some of the best speckled trout fishing I have had in a while.  <br />

Gator season has already come and gone and even though the hurricane kinda washed the first half of it out we managed to fill all 4 tags with one being our best one to date at 11&#039;7&quot;.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Havent been able to go much with all the kids stuff going on but made 4 morning hunts over spring break and finally got one to play ball on the 4th morning.  Had multiple birds gobbling each day and well into the day so stayed busy but kept getting messed up.  Couple were henned up bad.  One was across a big deep slough and wouldnt cross.  One had another guy walk in on and spook it off.  2 others had a dog come in on one and a coyote on the other ran the off.  And one just straight up blew...<br />

Had a few bucks come up on the cameras once or twice, but this guy found a hot doe and was staying on my plot longer and longer.  I hunted him once, then had couldn’t make it back to the woods.  He started coming in earlier and earlier Friday through Sunday of this past week.  Finally on Monday, I was able to get in the stand around 2 that afternoon. About 3:00 a doe came out. First weekend of youth season I took big bro and we saw what looked like a 7 point but it was spooked and only stopped once behind a big white oak so never got a shot. Nothing big just legal fish 12-15 inches.  Water was calm and good tide but was still very muddy and kicked 3 others.  didnt stay long being a school night just got what I could in the hour and headed home.  maybe do a better pick later I know this one is bad.]]></content:encoded>

Back to work this week for at least a while no telling when another closure will hit but here is a little catch up on the fishing from mid march to now.  Trout fishing has been good but I have only done a little but of it bc I spent most of the time at the camp chasing the crappie which was great.  Flounder are around but muddy water and wind has kept them mostly safe.  Snapper were easy...<br />

Went to the pond of course to get him started and after just helping him with one he was on his own watching the cork and getting them himself. Still had some luck.  Crappie are 14-18 inches some over 3lbs and man they are fun to catch wading.  Gobbler was a junk bird but he will eat good.
